Mrs McKenzie Johnston is the great grand daughter of Rev. John Davidson and Harriet Miller. John Davidson (1834-1881) born in Kinghorn, Fife, Scotland, attended the Universities of St Andrews and Edinburgh, not taking a degree. He studied divinity in 1856-1858, 1860-1861 becoming a licentiate of the Free Church Presbytery of Kinross. 1864 ordained Minister of Langholm, Dumfriesshire. 1860 married Harriet, daughter of Hugh Miller and wife Lydia Falconer.
